Job Description

Zaltek Digital is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead the market entry and growth of our new MSP product. This role is ideal for an individual who excels at identifying and securing new business opportunities across various industries, including energy and is motivated by the challenge of building something new. Initially, you will work independently to establish our market presence, with the goal of eventually growing and leading a dedicated business development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for our new MSP product, targeting key industries such as energy, manufacturing, and professional services.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends, industry developments, and potential clients across multiple sectors.
  • Client Acquisition: Secure new clients by presenting Zaltek Digital’s MSP solutions, demonstrating how our services can address specific challenges in their industry.
  • Independent Operations: Operate autonomously to establish a strong client base and market presence, laying the groundwork for future team expansion.
  • Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various sectors, including energy, to drive business growth.
  • Team Growth: As the business expands, recruit, mentor, and lead a business development team to further scale our operations.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the leadership team to refine and adapt our business development strategy based on market feedback and industry trends.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic client acquisition and market expansion.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the IT or managed services industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the energy sector is a plus, but a broad understanding of IT solutions across multiple industries is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from diverse industries.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrated ability or potential to build and lead a team.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Network: Established industry contacts across various sectors, including energy, is highly desirable.
